Nicola Stephanie is an interdisciplinary artist born in Epsom, UK who grew up in Eindhoven, Holland, and Cambridge, UK. She received her BA from Goldsmiths College in London and her MFA from Hunter College in New York City. She also studied at the New York Studio School. Stephanie has previously shown her work at the Freud Museum, London, Yale Center for British Art in New Haven CT, Milwaukee Art Museum and TURN Gallery in New York City which was listed as a “must-see show” by the Art Newspaper. Stephanie has completed commissions for Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House in London and was nominated for the United States Artists USA Fellowships and the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant. She has held teaching positions as Lecturer of Drawing at the London College of Fashion and Lecturer in Fine Arts and Visual Communication at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham. Stephanie currently lives and works in London, UK and the Hudson River Valley, upstate New York.
