Two reupholstered found chairs, fabric, ribbon
Two found chairs reupholstered as one act as a prop for dancers from Trinity Laban, London. The dancers generated movements in response to words describing reciprocal characteristics between two individuals.
The upholstery extends to about fifteen feet on either side and the chair, and binds the dancers into its ends. A concertina system of ribbons woven through the upholstery transfer movements from one dancer to another, across the fabric of the chair.
