The third piece in the Transitional Objects series is also a textile around which a performance takes place. Social Fabric consists of a white Jacquard embroidered tablecloth, the kind used for formal and fine dining occasions. The fabric pattern was created with a setting for four diners who can “wear” the tablecloth, which extends to physically bind them into the event of the dinner party, partially masked, for the duration of the meal.
It was performed at SE10 restaurant and bar in Greenwich, South London.
